Ignacio Hernandez B. (1966)
Ignacio Hernandez is a South Florida fine artist working primarily in oil. After a successful career as a designer and creative director, he turned his focus toward painting, bringing a deep understanding of composition, balance, and visual storytelling to his work.
His paintings explore people, places, and moments of personal significance, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and engage with the world through a more contemplative lens.
Hernandez has completed commissioned works for private collectors and has exhibited in juried exhibitions including the 2025 LOST Annual Juried Exhibition and the South Arkansas Arts Center Juried Art Competition. His work was featured in Issue 010 of Novum Artis.
He lives and works in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Artist Statement
My paintings emerge from a fascination with the quiet gravity of ordinary moments. Working primarily in oil, I am drawn to people, places, and encounters that seem to hold something just beyond explanation.
Rooted in observation yet guided by intuition, my work explores the space between recognition and reflection. Familiar subjects become invitations to slow down, look more closely, and discover meaning that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
I am interested less in providing answers than in creating moments of contemplation, where memory, emotion, and personal interpretation can quietly unfold.
